Dr. Kenney is a gastroenterologist at Carney Hospital in Dorchester Massachusetts where he practices with his two sons, also gastroenterologists. Dr. Kenney was one of the first physicians in the United States to use colonoscopy.
Dr. Kenney is very involved with the teaching program at Carney Hospital. He has been very supportive of eClinic.com and has provided feedback in addition to recording videos.
In this series of videos, Dr. Kenney introduces himself and his practice, and addresses common questions that people often have for a gastroenterologist.
Dr. Mark Ostrem is a primary care physician and Geriatrician at Carney Hospital in Dorchester MA. Here, he closely works with residents and participates in teaching rounds at the hospital. We appreciated his enthusiasm and generosity of time with this project.
In this series of videos, he touches on issues that are particularly important to older individuals, as well as questions we may have as our family members become older. His thoughts on end of life care are important issues that we all should take time to consider.
In December, Dr. Lyle Micheli and his staff were gracious enough to invite us to record videos at their office at Children’s Hospital in Boston. Earlier that year I had seen Dr. Micheli give a grand rounds on sports injuries. I enjoyed the presentation very much and was impressed with Dr. Micheli’s knowledge and experience. Even though eClinic.com was not yet completed, I thought he would be a great physician to have on the site and was delighted that he agreed.
Some of the questions presented were picked from topics covered in his books, including the Sports Medicine Bible. So if you are looking for more information on sports medicine you should check them out. Thanks again to Dr. Micheli, and to Maria Maginnis for helping to set this up, and for giving a great start to eClinic.com!
